Humza Yousuf made history on Tuesday by becoming the youngest leader to lead the Scottish government.
The Scottish Parliament on Tuesday confirmed Humza Yousuf as First Minister to replace Nicola Sturgeon, making her the youngest and first Muslim leader in government in Western Europe.

Humza Yousaf, 37, won the Scottish National Party (SNP) leadership battle on Monday and vowed to live for Scottish independence, AFP reported.
Pakistan's leader, who will be sworn in at a ceremony on Wednesday, won the nomination of a majority of members of parliament in a vote on Tuesday afternoon to become the country's new prime minister.
Humza Yousuf:
Humza Yousuf is currently the first minister of Scotland from Pakistan and the most senior elected politician in the Scottish administration. It is important to note that the position here is the same as that of the Prime Minister at the national level.
Born in Glasgow in 1985, Humza Yousaf's parents settled in Scotland in the 1960s. He grew up with a strong sense of community and an appreciation for multiculturalism. He went to Glasgow University and completed his degree work. However, his political career took off in 2011, when he was elected to the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for Glasgow at the age of 25
Over the past 10 years, Humza Yousaf has held a number of key roles within the SNP, including Minister for Transport and the Islands, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development, and Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care. Throughout his political career, he has been a vocal advocate for human rights, equality and social justice.
Humza Yousaf also supports many progressive policies and initiatives, including increased funding for mental health services, public transportation, and renewable energy development. His rise on the Scottish political scene is not just an impressive portfolio, but a reflection of British inclusivity. He advocated strong cultural and economic ties between Pakistan and Scotland and played a key role in promoting trade relations between the two countries.
